BROADMAYNE D5 SHORT FILMS

Watch our two short documentaries, 'Broadmayne D5: The Days Before D-Day' and 'Broadmayne D5: Back to 1944', commissioned by the Broadmayne World War Two Society and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. They have been produced by Broadmayne based production company, Bright Button Productions as a free educational resource.

 

'Broadmayne D5: The Days Before D-Day' tells the story of Broadmayne and West Knighton's role in WWII history when it became a marshalling camp for US troops in the run up to D-Day.

 

'Broadmayne D5: The Return to 1944' documents the village's transformation for the weekend of commemorative events, living history re-enactors, village fete, 1940s dance and cinema evening designed to engage the community in their fascinating heritage.
